Donald Trump famously called for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States. It was an unprecedented move that immediately set off a firestorm across the country from both parties.

The next day, all hands were on deck at Hillary for America as we prepared an campaign-wide response to this completely un-American and dangerous policy proposal.

My teammates and I were brainstorming ideas for social content to do on Slack. We kept going back and forth between wordy, complicated ideas and then I proposed something simple:

Love trumps hate.

In less than an hour, the design team finalized a graphic and we posted it across platforms moments later.

The graphic immediately took off, earning over 29,000 shares on Facebook, 10,000 Retweets and 36,000 Intagram likes all very high numbers for that point in the campaign.

Tell Donald Trump: Hate is not an American value.
