My original plan

My original plan

On April 12, 2015, Hillary Clinton officially launched her campaign to be the 45th president of the United States. It was a huge moment as the country had been speculating since her last run in 2008 that she may run again. I was at a Chicago White Sox game with my dad and quickly ran to the hall of the stadium to watch her launch video--and give my first $25 donation to the campaign.

At the time, I was working as a Jr. Brand Strategist at Ogilvy & Mather Chicago. I wasn't totally in love with my job and started to think "wow, it would be incredible to use my skills, passions and experience to advance Hillary's campaign--and our country."

Without having any political experience or connections on the campaign, I knew I had to get creative. So, I purchased a domain name (JohnForHillary.com) and decided to send them a website of ideas to the campaign to show them what I'd bring to the table instead of just telling them.
